FAQ // Questions & answers
Below you will find the answers to frequently asked questions regarding our simulators, bookings, packages and vouchers.
Questions and general information
Key information for first-time visitors to AirPoint.
AirPoint opening hours
All locations where our simulators are located are listed at the bottom of the page. After clicking on the „more information” button under the selected city, a subpage will appear with detailed information on the selected location, including exact opening times. For pilot sessions, simulator hire by the hour, events and organised events, dates are arranged on an individual basis and may fall outside of our standard schedules.
Is flight in a simulator realistic?
Our simulators are faithfully reproduced cockpits of real aircraft - Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. All panels, on-board instruments, as well as the pilots' seats look and function just like in real aircraft. Specially designed audio-visual systems make the flight extremely realistic - during manoeuvres you get the impression that you are really in the air.
Who can use our simulators?
The idea behind our project is to meet the expectations of all stakeholders, including those without any aviation knowledge or experience. Our instructors will share essential tips and ensure that the flight is an extraordinary experience and provides maximum satisfaction, regardless of the participant's skill level.
Can children use the simulator?
We recommend a minimum age of 8 years — children of this age already understand instructions, can reach the basic flight instruments and are able to operate the controls.
We must point out that some centres lower the age limit, which often ends in frustration rather than fun. With us, the experience is always fairly tailored to the participant's capabilities.
Is the simulator safe?
Yes — this is a stationary device, free from overloads and risk. All manoeuvres take place in controlled conditions under the supervision of an instructor.
Are the simulators adapted for people with disabilities?
The use of the flight simulator requires the participant to have intellectual and motor skills. For this reason, despite our most sincere intentions, our simulators are not adapted for people with disabilities and therefore access to selected locations may also be difficult. In the event of any restrictions, please contact us by email or telephone before making a booking to address any concerns in this regard.
Flight profile and cockpit procedures
What a cockpit session looks like and what you can expect.
Who is sitting in the captain's chair?
Each participant, regardless of the package chosen, sits in the captain's seat and takes control of the aircraft. Our instructor, seated in the right-hand seat, assists during the flight, provides guidance and intervenes only when required.
Can I fly in a duo?
Typically, the flight takes place with the instructor sitting in the right-hand seat. The instructor may agree to a tandem flight — this depends on their assessment of cockpit comfort and how the participants are handling the controls. In such a case, the instructor provides guidance and oversees the safe conduct of the flight from behind the pilots' seats.
How many people can come with me into the flight deck?
A maximum of 3 accompanying persons may observe the flight from the rear of the flight deck, where dedicated seating is provided for them.
How should you dress?
We recommend flat-soled footwear. The cockpit is one of those places where, for instance, trainers have an undisputed advantage over high heels 🙂 Excessively loose items of clothing that could hinder the operation of individual devices in the cockpit are also not advised.
Can I choose my flight route?
Yes — An instructor will help select the airports and tailor the scenario details to the difficulty level, package type and session duration.
Packages and proficiency levels
Choose a package tailored to your expectations
What is the difference between FLY FOR FUN and BE A PRO packages?
Fly For Fun is a category of packages aimed primarily at providing good entertainment for both the participants in the flight and those accompanying them. Packages in the Fly For Fun category have been prepared for people for whom the pure fun of flying is more important than checklists and procedures in the real world.
Be a Pro is a group of packages focused primarily on the greatest possible realism, procedures and checklists. Packages in the BE A PRO category have been prepared for people who, in addition to just flying, would also like to learn the answers to the questions of what, how and why real pilots do during a real flight. It is also an excellent choice for those who already have some basics and wish to expand their knowledge, develop their skills and use the full capabilities of our simulators.
Does the choice of package category determine my skill level?
No — the Fly For Fun and Be a Pro package categories are thematic rather than „tier-based”. This means they do not define the participant's skill level, but merely the nature of the session. Importantly: the Be a Pro package is also great for a first-time experience. The instructor always tailors the difficulty level to the participant — regardless of the chosen package. As a result, even people with no experience can enjoy a more „professional” session without stress.
Reservations and the course of the visit
How to book a flight and how to prepare for the visit.
Do I need to book my flight in advance?
Due to the nature of the service, we recommend that you book your flight in the simulator in advance via the booking system, which is available on our website. Of course, the flight can also be purchased on the spot at the premises, however, in such a situation we cannot guarantee the availability of the simulator „out of the box”.
How do I book a flight?
For standard Fly for Fun and Be a Pro packages, as well as the flight workshops available on our website, please make a reservation via the online booking system.
If you want to organise an event, special occasion or business meeting, or if you are interested in hiring a simulator for a specific number of hours (e.g. screening preparation sessions), please contact us by email or use the dedicated contact forms available on selected subpages. This will enable us to agree on the details individually and tailor the offer to your needs.
How do I redeem a voucher purchased through the MyBenefit platform?
If you already have a MyBenefit voucher, please send a scan or photo of it (with the voucher number visible) to the email address of the location of your choice where you would like to have your simulator session (we have provided email addresses for all locations in the „contact us” section). We will verify and accept the number in our system, which we will inform you of in a return email. From then on, it will be possible to make a booking via our website.
Is it possible to change/reschedule a booking?
Any booking can be changed or postponed up to 24 hours before the flight. To do so, please contact us by email or telephone.
How to redeem the voucher?
Flight bookings using a voucher must be made via our website. Go to the website → „book a flight” → „redeem voucher” → enter the code.
I have a reservation. Is it necessary to arrive in advance?
Bearing in mind the specific timetable for booking the simulator, and due to the specific nature of the service, you should arrive at our premises 15 minutes before your flight, which will allow you to prepare calmly and familiarise yourself with the basic information and instructions. If you are late in relation to your booking time, your flight in the simulator will not be able to be extended for organisational reasons.
