The Boeing 737 is the most ordered passenger aircraft of all time by airlines: to date, nearly 12,000 have been ordered in total and more than 8,000 have been delivered. The Boeing 737 is so widespread that at any given time more than 1,250 of these aircraft are in the air. On average, one 737-type machine takes off or lands somewhere in the world every five seconds. In 2013, the monthly production rate was 38 units, which increased to 42 units per month in 2014.
The Boeing 737 version 800 first took to the air on 31 July 1997 from Renton Airport, Washington. The 737-800 simulator is located at AirPoint Warsaw.
